A while back I made this solar chime, using a small solar cell and
BEAM-style solar engine to pulse the motor (and so to ring the chimes). I loved the result and was happy/sad to ship it off to my brother (in Hawaii, where you perhaps have less need to announce sunshine as here in the UK)
